This is my second visit. The first time I didn't really like the food but thought I would give it one more try. I won't be coming back. I ordered the nachos with chorizo the first time. It sounded good but the cheese wasn't melted and it had a horrible flavor. Months later decided to give it one more try and ordered the nachos with Asada. The plate came out, looked good, cheese nice and melted but still horrible taste! I think it was the cheese. I don't know if it was old or just the kind of cheese they used but yuck!! Staff is friendly and nice atmosphere.

The staff is very friendly. We came in for lunch and ordered the carnitas and carne asada tacos, cirviche, and the fijitas. The portions were huge and very filling. I also had the house margarita and for $6 it was well worth it! This place is not stingy on their guac, which is always a plus. Would go here again. Not traditional New Mexican food. Just regular Mexican food. I didn't give a five star because this place seems like more of a chain restaurant and I prefer the ma' and pa' places.

Welł, my wife and I worked up the courage to try it for ourselves. We have heard numerous good and bad word of mouth reviews, so tonight was the night. I was craving, and ordered carne asada tacos, my wife, the fish tacos. Without giving this place a horrible review, let's simply say, that even with a bowl of fresh jalapeños on the side, I still couldn't taste much. The food, including the jalapeños, were without flavor. As with previous reviews, the service was excellent. Live musicians roaming the floor, playing good music, but the food...at best, without flavor. Not returning in this lifetime

This has to be the most disappointed I had ever been with a restaurant. I'm giving it two stars because my first experience there was amazing. My wife and I came here just before it's official grand opening. It has a nice upscale ambiance and the service at the time was good if a bit slow. I ordered the crab tacos and they were amazing! Big thick pieces of fresh crab with all the ingredients perfectly proportioned. The corn tortillas were perfect. We were so pleased we ventured to order raw oysters and they were fresh and healthy! A rarity in New Mexico. My mom came to visit and I bragged on this place and took her to it a few months later with my kids. It was the complete opposite experience. Staff was slow and a bit short with customers. I excitingly ordered the crab tacos and was crushed to get soggy corn tortillas wrapping a bland mixture of beans rice an a minuscule amount of crab ( I had to dig through it to verify there was actually crab in it) The food was like what you would get from a chain Mexican food restaurant in Vermont, bland, and generic. What happened?

The worst sea bass I have ever tasted and it was obviously frozen minutes before it was served, its questionable how long it had been frozen. The tbone steak you couldn't cut through with the sharpest knife on the block, it was just a tough chewy, flavor of cardboard and it was supposably beef! the nacho supreme had meet that tasted like elk or orox I'm still not certain. to top it off my the oysters were served with water and ice on top of the oysters. to make a long story short nobody in our four person party enjoyed any bit of their meal. I paid a large amountof money for food that nobody ate.

The food and service were great and we will go back! The steaks and Mexican food were equally yummy.

*California Native* I tried this place a few Friday nights ago. My husband decided to take me and the kids here to try it out and it was pretty good. Not great. The oysters in my campechana were disgusting and tasted like they crawled from the nearest ocean from New Mexico. And the queso fundido was made with cheddar cheese? I'm not sure what that was about, maybe it's a New Mexican thing. But the drinks and everything else was delightful! The music, the service and the prices were all great.

This place is a fantastic find right off I-25! This is the restaurant's second location and the consistency is as if they were under the same roof; great service, food and atmosphere! The grand opening had mariachis and I think it's a regular thing on weekends but not sure. The ceviche is hard to beat and I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The drink specials are also great. Happy this place popped up!!

It was empty in the dining area which was nice. The service was really good. I had the crab enchiladas, it is my favorite there. The crab is sweet and with the red sauce's smokiness is really good. Normally I try new things at restaurants that I go back too but I think here in going to stay with that dish or maybe the shrimp that's good too. The only complaint was the music from the bar was really loud for a restaurant that only has half walls spaying everything.

My family and I have come here many times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. I usually get the house specialty soup and even the small size is pretty big. Good quick treat if you're in town!

Flavorful, spicy & delicious! No other Mexican food restaurant was open on Sunday night so we decided to try the new place in town. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the chicken fajitas were. Sizzling hot & alive with flavor! I'm visiting from California so can't be a regular patron but I'll go back if I visit here again. My only criticism or suggestion: get a new photographer & take new photos for the menu. The ones they have don't do the food justice. They are washed out & make the food look unappetizing, especially the seafood photos.

This place is finally open in Los Lunas! I had the pleasure of visiting opening weekend and it is beautiful. The decor is modern and the food is just as great as their first location. Definitely a place to go for lunch, date night or if you have a large party.

Sorely disappointed after what I heard from locals. Chicken enchiladas were salty and questionably cooked, seafood enchiladas had good amount of crab & shrimp meat, but not very much flavor. Service was great, though!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
